An Idea Built From Real Experience.
Made For Cause began with a simple idea: what if there were more ways for people to use what they have to help causes?
The idea grew from firsthand experience seeing good people doing meaningful work while navigating limited resources, disconnected systems, and challenges that often pulled their attention away from the people they were trying to serve.
What started as an idea has grown into a connected vision—bringing together technology, makers, volunteers, media, merchandise, creative resources, partnerships, and community to create practical new ways to help.

With experience spanning nonprofit operations, technology, creative businesses, and building practical systems, April Thayer founded Made For Cause around a simple belief: people doing good should have more ways to get the support they need.
Today, she is leading the development of Made For Cause and its growing ecosystem of programs, platforms, partnerships, and creative initiatives.
